  1. Hello! Further to meeting you at the end of the photographic exhibition at Trimley Memorial Hall on the 8th May, you mentioned that my dad and I live on an interesting piece of land (80 Mill Lane). I was wondering if you could elaborate further on this as we, and my mum also, are so intrigued! Thank you

    1. Hello Emma. Thank you for contacting me.

Yes an interesting little area of development around you. For me the interest is in how the land was divided up during the late 19th/20th century. I had created a document about the history of the land but unfortunately lost it when my old laptop melted in January. I am working to reconstruct it but have been tied up with narratives for the Exhibition. It will be re-written it and I intend to post it as a Blog. This make take a few weeks as I am really tied up at the moment. Please feel free to nudge me of it all goes quiet.
I can’t remember if you saw the image of Treacle Pot Cottage in the Exhi. It gives an idea of how your area looked like in the mid-1950s. even when I was a girl Mill Lane was far less developed than now and traffic was not an issue. I look forward to being in touch with you again. Very best wishes, Liz

  2. Hi Liz,

We have recently moved into the village and I have been fascinated by reading the stories in your blog.

We have a little cottage in our back garden that I would love to know more about, I think it was known as 1 Heathfield Cottages on Mill Lane.

I would be grateful for any information you may have.

    Many thanks

    Kelly
